Flickle is a free daily word-style game. We keep data collection to a minimum and we do not sell your personal information. This policy explains what is collected and why.

What we store

Your game progress (guesses, wins, streaks, settings) is stored locally in your own browser (localStorage). It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Anonymous usage analytics via Microsoft Azure Application Insights — e.g. page views, sessions, approximate region, and device/browser type — so we can understand how many people play and keep the site working. We do not use it to identify you.
Advertising (when enabled): Flickle may show ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. These third parties may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, and—where permitted—to personalize them based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

Cookies & similar technologies

We use local storage for gameplay, analytics for aggregate usage, and (when ads are enabled) advertising cookies. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time.

Your choices

Manage Google’s ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
Opt out of personalized advertising from participating vendors at aboutads.info or Your Online Choices.
You can clear local storage / cookies in your browser settings at any time (this resets your game stats).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to opt out of personalized advertising or “sale/share” of data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

Flickle is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Third-party content

Movie and actor information and images are provided under their respective licenses (see the About page). Links to third-party sites are governed by their own privacy policies.

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly.
