Take a film title, delete the spaces, then delete every vowel. What's left — THGDFTHR, PLPFCTN, SCHNDLRSLST — is the puzzle. DSMVWLD (that's "disemvowelled", disemvowelled) serves five of these consonant skeletons a day; your job is to name the films.
Each round's lightbulb reveals the film's top-billed star. Hints are tallied in your share result.
Say the consonants out loud — your brain fills vowels back in better by ear than by eye. Count the letters: a very long run usually means a multi-word title, so look for familiar word endings like -NG, -MN or -TN inside it. Double letters survive de-voweling, so a BB or LL is a strong anchor. And because many titles collapse to the same consonants, any film whose title matches the skeleton counts as correct — if you spot a different valid reading, it's yours.
